Large Italian cocoon pendant lamp dating from the 1960s.
The free-form metal structure is covered with a translucent fibrous resin, creating an expressive organic shape and a beautifully diffused light when illuminated. The design is reminiscent of the experimental cocoon lighting by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos. This example is unmarked, and the maker remains unknown. A highly decorative piece with an unusual silhouette, equally interesting when switched off.
